Pupil Leadership at Kingfisher CE Academy
Children at Kingfisher CE Academy have a number of opportunities to contribute to the vibrant life of our school community.
Whole School Pupil Leadership
All children from years 2 upwards are involved in a council which meets termly. Children can choose to be part of the following groups:
- Kingfisher Leaders (led by Ms Bishop)
- Worship Council (led by Mrs Connell)
- Eco Council (led by Mrs Dixon)
- E-Safety Council (led by Miss Baddeley)
- Wellbeing Council (led by Miss Bowron)
Courageous Advocacy
We believe that by encouraging pupils to take a leading role in different areas of school life, this will help equip them with skills that will last a lifetime. We encourage pupils to also take a stand for the things they believe in and ways in which we could champion those around us. This also enables all the children to keep others in mind who may not have the same experiences and opportunities in life that we have.
